Counsel for US Individual Claims Management

At Hannover Re, we are seeking a qualified professional to join our team as a Legal Advisor for Individual Claims in the USA on a temporary basis. This position entails thorough legal examination of facultative claims originating from the United States, autonomous legal management of individual claims, providing guidance to colleagues on claims administration, and analyzing trends in claims.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Conducting legal assessments of facultative claims from the United States
- Managing individual claims independently from a legal perspective
- Offering advice and support to colleagues regarding claims management and individual case reserves, considering sector- and country-specific factors
- Evaluating trends in claims
- Participating in claims audits and attending claims meetings
- Providing advisory services to cedants upon request
**Qualifications Required:**
- A degree focused on law
- Practical experience in loss adjustment at a primary insurer with relevance to international legal frameworks
- Expertise in sectors such as liability, accident, motor, and/or other lines
- Proficiency in both German and English
- Strong analytical abilities and sound judgment
- A confident and service-oriented approach to both internal and external stakeholders
