Opportunity Overview: We are seeking a skilled Economist / Mathematician / Underwriter to contribute to our operations in the Italian market. This role is integral to our team focused on Central European markets, specifically Germany, Switzerland, and Italy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of reinsurance treaties for primary insurance companies in Italy.
- Evaluate reinsurance inquiries, including comprehensive risk assessments.
- Calculate premiums and facilitate the decision-making process.
- Prepare, review, and amend treaty documents, ensuring thorough administration.
- Monitor developments in the primary insurance and reinsurance sectors within the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Conduct balance sheet, solvency, and KPI analyses to develop tailored reinsurance solutions.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as economics, mathematics, or business administration.
- Some experience in the (re)insurance or financial sectors, ideally through internships.
- Proficient in English, with independent proficiency in German and Italian, complemented by strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes, approximately three to four times annually.
- An international perspective, negotiation skills, and a passion for enhancing our market presence.
