About the Business

Our Destination Management services are at the heart of our operations. Collaborating with our destination experts, our sales and account management teams drive business growth by partnering with clients, including tour operators and travel agencies, to develop tailored itineraries that cater to travelers' preferences. We manage all aspects of travel arrangements, from ground support and hotel bookings to sightseeing and local guides, ensuring seamless experiences with 24/7 customer support for travelers from around the globe.

About the Role: This position is focused on generating business within the German market (and any other markets agreed upon with management), developing sales strategies, and expanding our portfolio of active clients to achieve sales objectives set by management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote Kuoni Tumlare services in the German market through client visits and outreach to potential customers.
  • Expand the portfolio of Kuoni Tumlare clients.
  • Generate group and FIT business utilizing the Kuoni Tumlare network across Europe and beyond.
  • Implement promotional activities aimed at enhancing destination visibility as per annual targets.
  • Maintain effective communication with local offices to ensure smooth operations.
  • Research and identify new products or activities for market promotion in collaboration with destination offices.
  • Participate in sales trips, travel workshops, and fairs across Europe.
  • Organize familiarization trips and educational tours for clients.
  • Oversee marketing initiatives for personal client markets.
  • Provide monthly sales reports and market analysis.
  • Report to management following sales trips, workshops, or fairs.
  • Monitor business profitability in coordination with the Revenue Control department.
  • Achieve group sales revenue and profit targets in alignment with budgetary goals, ensuring high-quality customer service.
  • Plan and implement sales delivery targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure strict revenue control of tours using company systems.
  • Prepare client offers, follow up, and manage contracts.
  • Ensure timely prepayment for confirmed groups unless credit arrangements are in place.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong commercial acumen and sales orientation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the travel industry and market dynamics.
  • Degree in Tourism or Travel Business.
  • Creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PDF).
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure from clients.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with destination offices.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Experience in inbound travel within Europe is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
