UI/UX Design Working Student for E/E Innovation Projects

Position Overview: We are seeking a working student to contribute to our UI/UX design efforts within the Electrics/Electronics Integration Center. This role focuses on enhancing the user experience for our innovative projects in the automotive sector.

Department: Technologies and Architectures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and execute creative workshops with prospective users to gather insights.
  • Conduct usability tests to evaluate production-related implementations.
  • Develop user journeys and extract requirements for processes, hardware, and software.
  • Create and visualize modern interfaces for digital production applications and dashboards, including wireframes and interactive prototypes using contemporary design tools.
  • Design front-end applications utilizing Adobe XD, Illustrator, or web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and React.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting design outcomes and prototypes.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials for future users of the newly designed applications.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in media informatics, web design, media technology, human factors, UX/UI design, or a related field.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Experienced with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with UX design software such as Sketch, Adobe XD, and image/video editing tools (Photoshop). Knowledge of Java, HTML, CSS, or React is a plus.
  • Demonstrated reliability, initiative, independence, and attention to detail, along with strong communication skills and creativity.
  • Basic understanding of the UI/UX design process.
