Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on hydrogen production, storage, distribution, and end-use applications to advance technology evaluations.
  • Align research initiatives with hydrogen and fuel cell research priorities, needs, and project requirements to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Support R&D activities by providing technical expertise and guidance.
  • Coordinate with external development partners, universities, and suppliers to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Investigate and pursue funding opportunities for research projects to secure necessary resources.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of patents and scientific papers to disseminate research findings.
  • Participate in relevant hydrogen energy conferences and academic exchanges to stay updated on industry developments.
  • Manage laboratory operations, ensuring safety protocols are in place, and oversee equipment maintenance, purchasing, and documentation.
  • Mentor students and provide guidance to ensure their professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • PhD in electrochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, with prior experience in renewable energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of hydrogen technologies, including fuel cell systems, electrolyzer systems, fueling stations, and end-use applications such as vehicles, stationary power, and power production.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, with German being an asset.
  • A strong passion for energy transition and decarbonization, driving innovation and progress in the field.
  • High degree of flexibility, agility, and self-directed work style, characterized by initiative and a proactive approach.
