Hydrogen Technology Research and Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on hydrogen production, storage, and end-use applications, evaluating various technologies and their feasibility.
  • Align research objectives with the Institute's hydrogen and fuel cell research priorities, ensuring seamless integration with project requirements.
  • Support the development of research projects, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive innovation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, universities, and development partners to advance research and development.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities for research projects, ensuring the Institute's continued growth and success.
  • Lead the preparation of patents and scientific papers, showcasing the Institute's research excellence.
  • Represent the Institute at hydrogen energy conferences and academic exchanges, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Oversee lab management, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment, as well as mentoring students and staff to promote growth and development.
Requirements
  • PhD in electrochemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field, with proven experience in renewable energy projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of hydrogen technologies, including fuel cell systems, electrolyzer systems, fueling stations, and end-use applications.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, with German being a plus.
  • A strong passion for energy transition and decarbonization, with a high degree of flexibility, agility, and self-directed work style.
