Job Summary

Tallahassee Community College is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and preventative maintenance on our buildings and equipment, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment
  • Operate and maintain HVAC systems and components, including building automation systems
  • Operate and maintain vehicles, including tractors, fork lifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts
  • Maintain small equipment used in the maintenance area
  • Work safely and proficiently in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and electronics
  • Follow written and oral instructions as directed
  • Work independently and make independent judgments
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds or more
  • Ability to drive, maintain, and repair vehicles, tractors, trucks, and equipment

Requirements:

  • Experience in at least three of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electronics, carpentry/masonry, AutoCAD or equivalent Computer Aided Drafting / Drawing Program
  • High School or GED is preferred
