About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Terminology Management Specialist to join our team at ZEISS Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing terminology and its metadata in German and English, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Identify suitable term candidates and prepare them for internal decision-making, leveraging your analytical skills to make informed recommendations.
- Support the development and evaluation of a suitable database structure and terminology guidelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.
- Develop, evaluate, and implement terminology workflows, ensuring seamless integration with our existing systems.
- Coordinate the maintenance of approved terminology databases, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
- Coordinate update, approval, and query workflows in our terminology management system, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
- Optimize and document relevant processes, leveraging your analytical skills to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the preparation and implementation of training measures, ensuring that our team members have the necessary skills to effectively manage terminology.
About You
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a strong background in terminology management, ontologies, and XML. Your profile should include:
Currently enrolled in a Master's or Bachelor's degree program in translation, terminology, language technology, computational linguistics, technical writing, or a comparable field.Initial experience in terminology work, with a strong understanding of German and English terminology.Knowledge of terminology management, ontologies, and XML, with a basic understanding of databases and translation processes.Knowledge of CAT and CCMS tools, with a structured, analytical, and independent approach to work.Holistic thinking and strong communication skills, with very good German and English language skills.Our Team
