Your Role: Solar Integration Engineer for Commercial Vehicles
As part of our Solar Integration Team, you will play a crucial role in developing photovoltaic integrations for commercial vehicles, specifically buses and trucks. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of sustainable transportation.
Responsibilities- Lead the development of photovoltaic systems for commercial vehicle applications, encompassing system definition, integration, and electrical engineering (E/E).
- Conduct feasibility studies and develop innovative concepts for solar integration in vehicles.
- Ensure rigorous testing and validation of developed systems to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
- Define requirements and create detailed specifications for photovoltaic systems.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to manage projects efficiently.
- Develop wiring diagrams and system topologies for seamless integration.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a development engineer specializing in systems, preferably within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge in system engineering or electrical engineering.
- Basic understanding of photovoltaic systems is highly advantageous.
- Hands-on approach and willingness to work on test benches and vehicles.
- Passion for sustainability and its integration into both personal and professional life.
- Fluent English communication skills; fluency in German is a plus.
