Development Engineer for Solar Integration Systems

About the Role
Sono Motors is a pioneering company dedicated to bringing sustainable solar products to the market. As a key member of our Solar Integration Team, you will play a crucial role in developing innovative solar integration systems for commercial vehicle applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and integrate photovoltaic systems for commercial vehicles, focusing on buses and trucks.
- Conduct feasibility studies and concept development for solar integration projects.
- Lead system testing and validation efforts to ensure high-quality products.
- Engineer requirements and create specifications for solar integration systems.
- Manage projects and collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to drive successful outcomes.
- Design and develop wiring diagrams and system topologies for solar integration systems.
- Perform Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (D-FMEA) for various projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience as a development engineer, preferably in the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Strong technical expertise in system engineering or electrical engineering.
- Basic knowledge of photovoltaic systems is advantageous.
- Hands-on mentality with the ability to work on test benches or vehicles.
- Commitment to sustainable living in both personal and professional life.
- Fluent English is a must; fluent German is a plus.
