We are seeking a highly skilled Combustion Development Engineer to join our team at g2 Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-performance combustion processes for motorsport applications.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or design technology, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in motorsports, preferably in Formula 1. You will be responsible for:
- Developing innovative combustion processes for high-performance engines
- Designing and developing advanced injection and ignition systems
- Executing and evaluating engine tests on 1-cylinder, full engine, and powertrain test benches
- Collaborating with fuel manufacturers to develop high-performance fuels
- Applying your knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and measurement technology to drive engine performance
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Technical studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or design technology
- 4+ years of experience in motorsports, preferably in Formula 1
- In-depth knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, fuel development, and measurement technology
- Broad knowledge of design and development of turbocharging, injection, and ignition systems
- Experience in operating 1-cylinder, highly dynamic full engine, and powertrain test benches
- Knowledge of test bench and motorsport evaluation tools
- Fluent English language skills
