About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cybersecurity Governance Director to join our team at HARMAN International. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership in the development and implementation of our cybersecurity governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and processes to ensure the protection of our automotive systems and data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential security risks and threats.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure the successful execution of cybersecurity projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and industry regulations, and provide thought leadership and guidance to address complex challenges.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to ensure alignment on cybersecurity requirements and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in automotive cybersecurity or a related field, or a PhD with +5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Sound understanding of automotive cybersecurity engineering standards, including ISO/SAE 21434:2021 and VDA A-SPICE for cybersecurity.
  • Excellent management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with other leaders and stakeholders.
  • Excellent mentorship skills, with the ability to oversee multiple managers and teams to further a positive ownership and feedback culture.
