Civil Engineer

Position Overview

As a Civil Engineer at WSA Weser-Jade-Nordsee, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and management of maritime signage. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the upkeep of both fixed and floating maritime indicators.
• Collaborating with governmental bodies, research institutions, and engineering firms to prepare for various technical initiatives.
• Drafting comprehensive technical reports and designs.
• Negotiating and finalizing engineering contracts while supervising engineering firms during the approval, design, and tendering phases.
• Planning, soliciting bids, and awarding construction contracts.
• Providing contractual support and monitoring the execution of projects, including claims management related to construction authorizations.

Your Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

• A completed university degree (Bachelor or FH-Diploma) in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience and knowledge in structural engineering and hydraulic engineering.
• Proficiency in planning, design, and construction management.
• Familiarity with public procurement and contract law (VOB, UVgO), as well as administrative procedures.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in office and AVA software.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and presentation abilities.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills, along with negotiation and persuasion capabilities.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt flexibly.
• Willingness to engage in tasks on construction sites.
• Proficient German language skills (minimum C1 level according to GER).
• Valid Class B driver's license.
• Willingness to operate service vehicles.
