Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer with a specialization in Construction or Environmental Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include:

• Maintenance and oversight of maritime signage systems.
• Collaboration with governmental bodies, research institutions, and engineering firms to facilitate technical initiatives.
• Preparation of detailed technical documentation and engineering designs.
• Negotiation and management of engineering contracts, along with supervision of engineering firms during project approval, design, and tender processes.
• Planning, bidding, and awarding of construction contracts.
• Contractual support and monitoring of project execution, including claims management related to construction authorizations.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

• A completed university degree (Bachelor or FH-Diploma) in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge in Structural Engineering or Hydraulic Engineering.
• Proven experience in project planning, design, and construction management.
• Familiarity with public procurement regulations and contract law (VOB, UVgO), as well as administrative procedures.
• Proficient IT skills, including the use of office and AVA software.
• Strong organizational, planning, and presentation abilities.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.
• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities, with a strong sense of independence and resilience.
• Willingness to perform site visits and oversee construction activities.
• Proficient in German (minimum C1 level according to GER) in both spoken and written forms.
• Valid driver’s license (Class B or 3).
• Willingness to operate company vehicles.
