WSA Weser-Jade-Nordsee is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our team as a Maritime Sign Specialist.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the safety and efficiency of maritime navigation by ensuring the proper upkeep of fixed and floating navigational aids.

  • Your Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of maritime signs, both fixed and floating.
  • Collaborate with federal agencies, research institutions, and engineering firms to plan and execute technical projects related to maritime signage.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and designs for various maritime infrastructure projects.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with engineering firms, overseeing their work in design, approval, and tender planning stages.
  • Plan, tender, and award construction services for maritime sign installations and maintenance projects.
  • Provide contractual support and monitor the implementation of projects, including claims management related to construction authorizations.

Your Profile:

  • You hold a Bachelor's or FH-Diploma in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
  • A strong understanding of structural engineering principles and/or hydraulic engineering is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in planning, designing, and managing construction projects is a valuable asset.
  • Familiarity with public procurement procedures and contract law (VOB, UVgO) is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including office software and AVA programs, is essential.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and presentation skills are crucial for success in this role.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution abilities are essential for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated judgment, decision-making skills, independence, resilience, and a willingness to learn and adapt are highly valued.
  • You are comfortable working on construction sites and possess the physical ability to perform necessary tasks.
  • Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) at least at C1 level according to GER standard are required.
  • A valid driver's license, Class B or 3 (old), is essential, along with a willingness to drive service vehicles.
