Job Summary

Brenntag, a leading chemical distribution company, is seeking a highly skilled Document Management Specialist EMEA to join our team in Essen. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing controlled documents, classifying and quality checking documents, and administering the SAP Data Management System.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage controlled documents, including specifications, certificates, and product-related statements for life science products.
  • Classify and quality check documents received from manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Administer the SAP Data Management System, including approval and process updates.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a secure and orderly system of responsibilities and standards within the EMEA Region.

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role within the chemical or similar industries (e.g., food, animal nutrition, pharma).
  • Science education (chemical or biological, pharmacy, food technology, etc.) is required.
  • Knowledge of chemical or similar industries (e.g., food, animal nutrition, pharma) is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of document requirements (life science) and experience in evaluating documents to ensure compliance.
  • Good understanding of ERP and Master Data Governance processes.
  • Experience with all master data processes is preferred.
  • Proactive and results-focused with a proven ability to solve problems and improve documentation and master data quality.
  • Ability to work in a located and virtual team with high-level self-guidance.
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) are essential, with other language abilities a plus.
