Position Overview:
We are seeking to enhance our workforce with an NCP Programming Specialist (m/w/d) in Varel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments regarding make or buy decisions based on the necessary technologies for component manufacturing, available resources, and workload considerations.
- Establish the machining workflow, from selecting raw materials to outlining the necessary steps for producing the final product. This includes choosing machining centers and defining setup and machining durations, with all data to be recorded in the SAP management system.
- Create numerical control programs and select optimal tools for production.
- Assist operators during the initial implementation phase and collaborate on the setup and optimization of the manufacturing process.
- Identify critical processing stages and, in partnership with the quality and engineering departments, develop strategies to mitigate execution risks, ensuring a reliable manufacturing process.
- Support Performance Variance Analysis by conducting post-task checks and monitoring times and quality issues during and after execution to assess the accuracy of the manufacturing process and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Degree in a technical field or a short course in Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a CAM programming role within the same industry.
- Familiarity with the technological and mechanical properties of utilized materials.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for chip removal products.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings.
- Expertise in numerical control programming for turning and milling operations, with a preference for turning.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 and Vericut.
- Familiarity with control methods and measurement tools.
- Proficient in G and M code programming.
- Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used across different machines.
- Understanding of common metal removal processes and cutting tool applications (feeds/speeds).
- Knowledge of 5-axis milling and turning/lathe machining.
- Advanced skills in reading drawings and specifications, with a grasp of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
- Fluent in English and at least B2 level in German.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of various material types, including Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Titanium.
- Experience in an ISO-9001 or AS9100 Quality Environment.
- Familiarity with machines such as Bavius HBZ Trunnion 120 and Bavius Aerocell hbz 400/200.
