NCP Lead Programmer

Sogeclair Aerospace is a leading player in the aerospace industry, supporting major customers such as Airbus Group, Thales, Bombardier, and Dassault in the development and industrialization of their products.

We are seeking a highly skilled NCP Lead Programmer to join our team in Varel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for dealing with make or buy assessments, defining machining processes, developing numerical control programs, and supporting operators in the initial implementation phase.

• Conduct make or buy assessments based on technologies needed, available technologies, and workload
• Define machining process, from raw material selection to process steps required to produce the finished part
• Develop numerical control program and select optimal tools for fabrication
• Support operators in initial implementation phase and collaborate in production process setup and optimization
• Identify critical processing steps and collaborate with quality and engineering departments to mitigate execution risks
• Support Performance Variance Analysis, performing checks after task execution and monitoring times and quality issues

• Diploma in technical field and/or short degree in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 3 years' experience in CAM programmer role in the same field
• Knowledge of technological and mechanical characteristics of materials used
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes for chip removal products
• Excellent reading of technical drawings
• Numerical control programming of turning and milling machining: expertise and experience in turning preferred
• Knowledge of CATIA V5 and Vericut
• Control methods and measurement tools
• Knowledge of G and M code programming
• Working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, and inserts used on various machines
• Knowledge of common/current metal removing processes/techniques, and cutting tool applications (feeds / speeds / etc.)
• Knowledge of 5-axis milling and turning/lathe machining
• Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions
• Fluent level in English
• Minimum B2 level in German

• Knowledge of different material types – Aluminum, (Stainless Steel, Titanium etc)
• Experience working in an ISO-9001 or AS9100 Quality Environment
• Machines : Bavius HBZ Trunnion 120 (rotary table and horizontal spindle) and Bavius Aerocell hbz 400/200 (horizontal machining, for large aluminum structural part
