Safety Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Data Analyst to join our team at Hyundai. As a key member of our Quality and Safety department, you will play a critical role in analyzing complex data sets to identify trends and patterns that impact vehicle safety.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and Standardize Trends Analysis Processes: Develop and implement data analysis processes to identify emerging issues related to vehicle safety, including product quality issues, recalls, and government investigations.
- European Liaison for IT System: Act as the primary point of contact for our European team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration on the implementation of our new IT system for managing safety-related defect investigations.
- Monitor and Analyze Data Sources: Utilize internal and external data sources, including PIR accident reports, government complaints, warranty claims, and competitor recalls, to identify emerging trends and issues related to vehicle safety.
- Conduct Deep-Dive Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to aid in formulating recommendations for opening vehicle safety-related investigations, identifying knowledge gaps, and forecasting potential risks.
- Coordinate Communication: Facilitate communication between the Data Review Committee and the Technical Review Committee on in-process proposals, ensuring alignment and effective decision-making.
- Monitor Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and developments, providing insights and recommendations to ESO leadership on best practices and potential risks.
- Innovate Trends Analysis: Continuously develop new methods of trends analysis and problem-solving, leveraging best practices and innovations from competitors and other industries.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with finance, engineering, legal, and other departments to resolve data integrity and delivery issues, and make recommendations for innovative improvements.
- Present Results: Present findings and recommendations to the Data Review Board, ensuring effective communication and decision-making.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in quality or safety within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will possess:
- University Degree in a Technical Discipline
- Minimum 5 Years of Experience in Quality or Safety within the Automotive Industry
- General Automotive Technical Knowledge
- High Level of Authority to self-check and ensure accuracy when analyzing high volumes of data
- Ability to Judge Independently and understand how various factors and trends can impact business decision-making
- Aptitude for Identifying and Employing IT Systems used for in-depth analysis, including statistical quality analysis of high volumes of data
- Ability to Present to and Manage Stakeholders

- Fluency in English
