Overview
Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced SAP Consulting / Engineering Manager to spearhead our SAP division and manage the execution and delivery of diverse SAP initiatives.At EPAM, you will play a crucial role in driving our SAP business expansion across the DACH region as both an architect and a specialist, while also nurturing our onsite team of skilled professionals dedicated to the successful completion of our regional projects. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility to work remotely while occasionally visiting client locations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead a team of SAP specialists, offering direction, mentorship, and support Ensure technical and functional leadership, sustainable architecture, and adherence to quality benchmarks Provide expert guidance and architectural insights in SAP configuration, customization, and integration Conduct performance assessments, identify training requirements, and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the SAP division Encourage collaboration between SAP consulting and engineering teams as well as other departments Articulate the business advantages of SAP solutions and illustrate how design and system architecture contribute to achieving business objectives Prepare project time frame and budget estimates, resource requirements, and quality metrics Oversee the preparation of client proposals and statements of work for SAP initiatives Collaborate with Architects and Project/Delivery Management teams to analyze, design, build, test, and implement SAP solutions efficiently Manage client expectations, relationships, and issues in partnership with account managers throughout project lifecycles Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and data privacy standards in all SAP project activitiesQualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline Proficient in both German and English Over 8 years of substantial experience in SAP consulting and engineering, particularly with SAP S/4HANA and SAP DSC implementations Proven leadership capabilities with a successful history of managing SAP teams and delivering intricate projects Comprehensive understanding of the SAP product suite, architecture, configuration, integration, and customization Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address technical challenges Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels Self-motivated and proactive, with a commitment to staying abreast of the latest SAP technologies and industry developmentsPreferred Skills
