Romanian-Focused General Ledger Accountant

We are currently looking for a General Ledger Accountant specializing in Romanian financial practices (m/f/d) to join our Shared Service Center at KWS Berlin GmbH. This role is crucial to the financial integrity of KWS on a global scale, collaborating closely with the Expert Hub and various teams. The position encompasses a range of transactional and analytical general ledger responsibilities, including: general ledger entries, accruals, intercompany transactions, asset management, and group accounting. This is a full-time and permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and reconcile open intercompany transactions and perform intercompany consolidation Prepare and present financial statements while adhering to IFRS and LOCAL-GAAP standards Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations Oversee quarterly closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including petty cash postings, HR accruals, salary postings, depreciation entries, and tax deferrals Engage in operational tasks within the General Ledger domain related to monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processesCandidate Profile:
Degree in Business Administration, Certified Accountant, or a related field Demonstrated experience in Romanian accounting practices, with a preference for IFRS knowledge Proficiency in relevant software applications (MS Office and ERP systems) Fluent in both English and Romanian Strong ability to meet deadlines and handle high-volume transactions Excellent communication skills with a collaborative and team-oriented approach Strong analytical abilities, proactive mindset, and exceptional service orientationWhat We Offer:
