Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Platform Engineering Assistant. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and maintenance of our internal development platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Platform Management: Assist in managing and improving the efficiency of our internal development platforms.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with IT teams across the company on platform development, updates, and enhancements, with a focus on implementing CI/CD pipelines to streamline our development processes.
  • Exploration and Innovation: Explore the potential of Generative AI (GenAI) to enhance our development workflows and tools, and contribute to the development of modern documentation practices by working on Documentation-as-Code initiatives.
  • Project Support: Participate in project-related tasks aimed at driving innovation and improvements to our development processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Assist with troubleshooting platform issues and implementing solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure a cohesive development environment aligning with our company's guidelines.
  • Transformation and Innovation: Assist in the change management and roll-out of new development technologies and processes, and drive innovation by creating proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for new technologies and tools to evaluate their potential and feasibility.
  • Student Requirements: You are currently studying Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar field, and have basic knowledge of software development and general programming languages and platforms.
  • Skills and Experience: Familiarity with software development methodologies, version control systems, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles, as well as a strong interest and basic knowledge in Artificial Intelligence, particularly in Generative AI (GenAI) and its applications in software development.
  • Way of Working: Proactive attitude, ability to work independently and within a team, and good English skills, both written and spoken.

Important information:

  • Working Part-Time: The focus is on studies, and working part-time is possible during the lecture period with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
  • Proper Students: Proper students (according to the German law) are welcome, and you must be enrolled, with examination results or modules of your studies not yet completed, so that you can still work in our team for at least 6 months.
  • Location: You should live close to the site, as it is important for us to work with you on site and integrate you into the team.
