Retail Engagement Manager

Your Role and Objectives

As a pivotal member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships between Productsup, suppliers, retailers, and marketplaces. Your entrepreneurial spirit and understanding of the retail, marketplace, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors will be essential as you take on the role of Retail Activation Manager.

Key Responsibilities in the Initial Months:

  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our market offerings, global solutions, target demographics, and competitive environment.
  • Engage with various departments within the retailer's organization, including e-commerce, marketing, and category management.
  • Utilize a multichannel strategy, including outreach initiatives, to connect with targeted retailers.

Goals for the First Six Months and Beyond:

  • Collaborate closely with our Business Development, Sales, and Product teams to formulate strategies and build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Manage renewal and upsell sales cycles in conjunction with supporting departments.
  • Craft compelling value propositions for existing retailers to enhance our revenue streams.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with inactive retailers and retail associations.
  • Analyze retailer needs and demonstrate how our solutions can facilitate better decision-making.
  • Support growth initiatives through data tracking and sales support.
  • Lead e-commerce projects with international brands across diverse sectors.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, with a proven track record in the retail, marketplace, or CPG sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the e-commerce retail landscape.
  • Experience in outbound prospecting and engaging with targeted retailers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
  • Results-oriented mindset focused on achieving key performance indicators.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • An entrepreneurial approach with a consultative sales methodology.
  • Willingness to travel to engage with retailers.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Dutch is advantageous.
