We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Kipu Quantum. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth by managing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and fostering partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Sales of Proof of Concept (PoC) Projects: Nurture leads, manage the sales process from initial contact to signing, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify Target Markets and Customer Segments: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and our quantum computing algorithms and software products to identify new business opportunities.
- Execute Business Development Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company goals, ensuring alignment with our mission to build the world's largest and most precise quantum computing platform.
- Prepare Customer-Facing Documents: Create offers, Statements of Work (SoWs), slide decks, brochures, and other documents to support sales efforts.
- Manage CRM and Data Repositories: Ensure the CRM system and related data repositories are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare Internal Reports: Develop and deliver regular reports to management on sales performance, market trends, and customer insights.
- Support Research and Analysis: Conduct research on potential customers, contacts, market geographies, or industries, analyze results, and prepare reports on these findings.
- Education: Successful completion of studies in economics (e.g., business administration, sales, business development, marketing) or science (e.g., physics, chemistry, material science) or comparable qualifications.
- Relationship Building: Ability to build and nurture strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Sales Experience: Several years of experience in selling PoC projects in a start-up or deep-tech environment.
- Quantum Computing Experience: Experience in the international quantum computing or software sector, with a proven track record in complex business deals, is an advantage.
- Start-Up Mindset: True start-up mindset, hands-on, driven, resilient, and able to wear different hats and contribute to different aspects of the business.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of English is necessary, and German is a big plus.
