Process Improvement Manager

We are seeking a Process Improvement Manager (m/f/d) to join our R&D team. This role is integral to enhancing our operational efficiency and can be based in either Münster or Hamburg.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enhance Performance Metrics: Drive improvements in delivery, quality, and productivity through the application of Agile methodologies across our R&D facilities in various regions.
  • Foster a Culture of Improvement: Advocate for a mindset of continuous enhancement within Evident R&D by utilizing Agile practices such as Kaizen, policy deployment, problem-solving sessions, daily stand-ups, visual management, Go-to-Gemba, value stream mapping, and 5S.
  • Facilitate Collaborative Meetings: Organize and lead monthly operational meetings for the R&D department.
  • Mentor Leadership: Provide guidance to functional leaders on Agile methodologies to ensure sustained performance gains and team engagement.
  • Ongoing Support: Offer continuous assistance to enhance knowledge and skills in Agile practices.
  • Strategic Policy Deployment: Collaborate with the CTO to develop and uphold frameworks for policy deployment, including bowler charts and action plans, while analyzing performance metrics to formulate improvement strategies.
  • Implement Agile Practices: Identify and deploy appropriate Agile tools and techniques to enhance operational processes.
  • Performance Reporting: Regularly communicate operational performance updates to the CTO and R&D leadership.
  • Continuous Optimization: Execute annual optimization initiatives aimed at improving delivery, quality, and productivity through Agile methodologies.
  • Reporting Structure: This position reports directly to the CTO and maintains a dotted line to the Chief Transformation Officer.
Qualifications
  • Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business or engineering is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years in continuous improvement, innovation, strategy, process management, or project management.
  • Skills and Certifications:
  • Proven experience in leading and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, DBS, or similar methodologies, with relevant certifications being advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence across various organizational levels.
  • Strong management background with a history of achieving results.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
  • Additional Experience: Experience in regulatory or medical device sectors is beneficial.
