About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at HELLA. As a key member of our Electronics department, you will be responsible for developing hardware for DCDC and OBC series projects in the field of power electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance power electronic products for next-generation electric vehicles in a dynamic team of 13 colleagues.
- Create the HW architecture for future On-Board Converter designs.
- Be responsible for component selection, including SiC/GaN power semiconductors and magnetic design.
- Design and develop power electronic circuits and oversee layout creation.
- Test and validate prototypes in our modern hardware laboratory.
- Collaborate with software, design, test laboratory, and production teams to develop hardware concepts for future On-Board Converters.
Requirements
- Completed studies in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering, preferably with a focus on power electronics.
- Relevant professional experience in developing power electronic circuits is desirable.
- Experience in the automotive development process is essential.
- Ideal experience with functional safety analysis.
- Strong team player with a motivated and agile work style.
- Excellent technical understanding, analytical skills, and communication abilities.
- Good German and English language skills in writing and speaking.
