Thesis Opportunity in Smart Quality
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team at the August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute and work on a thesis project focused on developing a key performance indicator system for evaluating the recyclability of materials.
About the Project
The aim of this thesis is to design and develop a material evaluation system in terms of recyclability. This project is part of a research project that analyzes and optimizes the material composition of a product with regard to its recyclability and creates a digital sustainability passport as transparent proof of the product's recyclability.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify the parameters relevant to the recyclability of a material (theoretical chemical suitability for recycling, contaminating additives, sortability, reusability)
- Develop an evaluation scheme (quantitative key figure system)
- View and take into account the scientific state of the art in the area of material recycling
- Develop the relevant parameters for the materials used in the product (research & interviews with recycling companies)
