The German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg is inviting highly driven researchers with a passion for cancer studies to submit their applications for a DKFZ Postdoctoral Fellowship. The DKFZ Postdoctoral Fellowships are recognized as the most prestigious and competitive recruitment process for postdoctoral positions at DKFZ, available in two formats based on the research focus:
- DKFZ Postdoctoral Fellowship (applicable to all cancer research domains): Up to seven fellowships are available, offered as a TV-L E13 contract for a duration of two years.
- Dr. Rurainski Postdoctoral Fellowships at DKFZ (focused on cancer epigenetics research projects): One fellowship is available, which includes funding for the postdoctoral role (TV-L E13 contract) along with a modest budget for conference participation and research materials. This funding is available for three years.
For further details and eligibility criteria, please review the following requirements to apply:
- A qualification equivalent to a PhD is mandatory for all applicants (PhD degree must be officially awarded).
- Candidates should be at an early career stage, having obtained their PhD (or MD-PhD) no more than two years prior.
- Applicants must demonstrate their successful previous research activities through publications.
- This fellowship is not available to internal DKFZ candidates unless they have joined DKFZ within the last six months before the application deadline.
