Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced International Project Manager to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading complex international projects and ensuring their successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead interdisciplinary international projects, applying project management standards and contributing to their refinement
  • Provide lateral leadership to guide project teams and foster collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
  • Plan, steer, and control costs, contents, tasks, results, deadlines, and external service providers
  • Design, update, and report project status in our enterprise-wide project management software
  • Ensure project stakeholder satisfaction and develop solution scenarios in the event of divergences
  • Develop and refine project management standards and participate in the global project management community

Requirements

  • Master's or postgraduate degree with concentrations in economics
  • Several years of experience in project management with full responsibility for scope, time, and budget, extending to the international level
  • Experience in managing projects in the insurance or financial environment is welcome
  • Project management certification (at least IPMA level C, PMP, or equivalent)
  • Well-versed in moderation and presentation techniques
  • Knowledge of (multi-)project management tools such as MS Project, Planisware, Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Proficient user skills in German and English
  • Willingness to go on occasional business trips worldwide
  • Strategic vision, capacity for interconnected and structured thinking, analytical skills, and a solution-oriented communication approach
