Corporate Lawyer Sanctions Law Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer Sanctions Law Specialist to join our team at Hannover Re. As a key member of our Group Legal Services - Compliance Sanctions Legal team, you will play a critical role in shaping our sanctions law strategy and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and structure sanctions law and foreign trade issues, making informed decisions and negotiating with stakeholders.
- Derive recommendations for action and collaborate with specialist departments and local offices to ensure effective implementation.
- Monitor and analyze the development of international sanctions law provisions, staying up-to-date on the latest changes and trends.
- Draft contracts, conditions, and clauses related to sanctions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for colleagues on sanctions-related topics, promoting a culture of compliance within the organization.
- Examine specific suspected cases that may arise during reinsurance initiation or implementation, applying your expertise to ensure effective case management.
Requirements
- A completed law degree (First State Examination) and a strong understanding of sanctions law and foreign trade regulations.
- Experience in sanctions law and foreign trade, preferably in an insurance company, bank, or international law firm.
- Fluent in German and English, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and intercultural skills.
