As the foremost legal entity licensing the V-Label in Europe and the exclusive Licensor in Germany, ProVeg e. V. plays a pivotal role in promoting plant-based solutions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring legal adherence across various domains, including licensing, the Unfair Competition Act, and trademark legislation. Position Title: Legal Counsel
Contract Duration: Two years, with potential for extension
Reports To: Senior Legal Counsel
Location: Remote options available
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
- Deliver high-quality legal guidance to the V-Label department and its Director on pertinent legal matters, particularly concerning licensing agreements, Unfair Competition regulations, and trademark laws.
- Manage a network of external legal professionals, especially in the realm of debt recovery.
- Assist the internal data protection team in liaising with the external data protection officer regarding the V-Label initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legal standards and mitigate risks by overseeing projects and operations, maintaining communication with the Director, and advising ProVeg's staff.
- Guarantee legal conformity in everyday business activities.
Essential:
- Completed law degree with satisfactory performance in the first state examinations or a bachelor's/master's degree in law.
- Strong understanding of contract law.
- Good grasp of corporate legal obligations.
- Familiarity with Unfair Competition and trademark regulations.
- Basic knowledge of compliance, risk management, and data protection laws.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English.
- Assertive and persuasive, yet collaborative and solution-oriented in approach.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and analyze complex information.
- High level of professional ethics, integrity, and accountability.
- At least two years of post-graduate experience in a related field.
- Experience with productivity tools such as G-Suite and Wrike.
