Senior Legal Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our global team at Blacklane. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a vital role in shaping our legal landscape and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide actionable and risk-based advice to the general counsel and senior leadership team on a wide range of issues crucial to our company's success.
  • Help shape legal and compliance strategy and processes as we scale up the company's business and prepare for a potential IPO.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance matters, including managing regulatory relationships.
  • Advise on the legal and business ramifications of various corporate and commercial initiatives, including M&A deals, finance rounds, and joint ventures.
  • Assist in implementing best practices for corporate governance, including setting up board processes and practices to comply with potentially applicable listing standards.

About You:

  • Completed German State Exam in Law with excellent results.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience, ideally obtained in a well-regarded, international law firm.
  • Motivation and a passion for law mixed with a pragmatic work style and eagerness to progress.
  • Interest in being a generalist, taking on projects relating to a wide variety of important legal matters.
  • Ability to independently manage projects and negotiate related agreements.
  • Outstanding communication skills that allow you to interact with a wide variety of individuals and to convey legal facts clearly and simply.
  • Fluency in English and German.
