Key ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the Data Team's efforts in delivering valuable data insights across the organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and implementing robust data pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources into our data warehouse.
- Collaborating with product and data team members to define the vision and objectives for data products.
- Creating and building ELT-based data models utilizing SQL and DBT.
- Utilizing Google Cloud to provision and manage data storage, computational resources, and containerized applications.
- Writing scripts in languages such as Python and Bash to automate data engineering tasks.
- Working alongside data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility.
- Developing high-performance dashboards by establishing the necessary data infrastructure.
- Documenting data pipelines, schemas, and operational procedures.
- Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in data engineering and cloud technologies.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the field of data engineering, particularly in building data pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases, including design and performance optimization.
- Experience with Google Cloud for data storage and computational services.
- Hands-on experience with dbt in a production environment.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong skills in Python; familiarity with JavaScript, Bash, and PowerShell is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively process and analyze data to generate actionable insights.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards across all tasks.
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
