We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team at Meetrics GmbH. As a key member of our data infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines using technologies such as Hadoop MapReduce and Spark.
As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering near real-time data to our customers using our high-availability data infrastructure. You will work closely with our QA engineers and DevOps team to ensure the smooth operation of our data pipelines and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data pipelines using Hadoop MapReduce and Spark
- Develop and maintain data infrastructure components, including Kafka, MapReduce, Spark, Hive, and ElasticSearch
- Work on monitoring and alerting systems for our data pipelines
- Collaborate with our network and server administrators to maintain our On-Premises Hadoop infrastructure
- Participate in code reviewing and architectural planning for our data infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience in Java and Scala development
- Experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, including MapReduce, Hive, and HDFS
- Knowledge and experience in writing Spark applications, including Spark streaming and SparkSQL
- Strong hands-on mentality and experience working in Linux-based environments
- Fluent in English
