Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Sonova. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing a central marketing data platform, ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines on Azure, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Develop a new data warehouse on Azure, integrating with existing data sources.
  • Prepare scripts to restructure and populate data, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Develop current pipelines to run on Azure, improving data processing efficiency.
  • Migrate the data lake and data warehouse to Azure, ensuring seamless data transfer.
  • Coordinate with analytics stakeholders on data modeling, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Satisfy data preparation and consumption requirements, ensuring timely data delivery.
  • Update data population scripts to fit new models and pipelines, ensuring data consistency.
  • Prepare documentation for all data pipelines, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Your Profile:

  • 5-8 years of experience in data engineering, including building professional data pipelines.
  • 3+ years of experience in Azure services, including data bricks, data factory, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Professional experience in SQL (PL/SQL) and Python, with a strong understanding of data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with processing structured and unstructured data, ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Pragmatic capabilities to understand requirements and deliver results, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to provide creative solutions and maintain effective data pipelines.
  • Mature experience in building data pipelines using Google Cloud Composer, with a strong understanding of data integration.
