Role Overview

As a (Senior) Product Designer at Wemolo, you will emphasize research and utilize user-centered design techniques to create exceptional user experiences from ideation to implementation. In this position, you will play a vital role in defining the user experience of our offerings, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop user-centric designs that contribute to our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership: Manage and guide the design process from initial research and discovery to final product design, ensuring a cohesive and seamless user experience.
  • Research-Driven Approach: Conduct user research, market analysis, and integrate data-driven insights into your design workflow, ensuring that all design choices are based on a thorough understanding of user needs and behaviors.
  • Comprehensive Ownership: Assume full accountability for the user experience of a particular product or feature, from concept through to launch, in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
  • Strategic Input: Contribute significantly to the future direction of Wemolo's products by engaging in strategic design discussions and decisions.
  • Diverse Focus Areas: Analyze the customer experience for our direct clients (e.g., through our customer dashboard) while also addressing the experience of individuals using the parking facilities we manage (e.g., through our payment terminals).
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work in tandem with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate research insights into innovative ideas, concepts, and final designs.
  • Business Insight: Convert customer insights into measurable business opportunities, providing actionable insights to various audiences, from product peers to senior leadership.
Qualifications
  • Educational Credentials: A degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Information Design, Communication Design, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Background: A minimum of 3+ years of in-house experience as a Product Designer, with a robust portfolio demonstrating your UX and UI design capabilities in a software development context.
  • Industry Acumen: Profound understanding of the B2B or enterprise software landscape.
  • Design Systems Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing and contributing to design systems, particularly in Figma.
  • User Research Expertise: Proven experience in leading user research initiatives and incorporating findings into the design process.
  • Data-Informed Design: Familiarity with using data and research to identify challenges, develop solutions, and guide design decisions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of business process management, process excellence, or related technologies.
  • Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to present and justify design decisions to stakeholders.
  • Language Proficiency: Strong written and spoken German and English (level C1 on the CEFR scale).
