Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Key Account Manager/Client Engagement Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our automotive clients, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with automotive clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including developing and executing sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-Level executives and top management contacts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including research and development, to ensure alignment and effective communication with clients.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and other sales materials to effectively communicate Microchip's value proposition to clients.
  • Manage and grow strategic client accounts, including developing and executing account plans to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of sales strategies across client divisions and geographical locations.
  • Communicate effectively with Microchip product divisions to provide quantifiable feedback and ROI for their investments in clients.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and background in the automotive industry, with a track record of success in the OEM/Tier1 environment.
  • Good understanding of automotive market dynamics and long-term industry experience.
  • Ability to communicate with confidence into C-Level and top management contacts.
  • Good understanding of embedded electronic system solutions and ability to engage with research and development teams.
  • Ability to create market-specific analysis and map these with Microchip solutions.
  • Understanding of Microchip's technological capabilities and resources, with the ability to translate those into client business and system requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in a business and/or engineering discipline, with a strong academic track record.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the automotive industry.
  • Business fluent language skills in German and English.
  • Relevant automotive market knowledge and industry experience.
