Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Key Account Manager to join our team at Microchip Technology, Inc. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and building new business opportunities with our automotive clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with automotive clients to understand their business needs and identify opportunities for Microchip's solutions.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and expand our presence in the automotive market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including C-Level executives and technical decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including product divisions and research and development, to provide quantifiable feedback and ROI for their investments in clients.
  • Manage and grow strategic client accounts, driving business growth and increasing revenue.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding and background in the automotive industry, with a track record in the OEM/Tier1 environment.
  • Good understanding of automotive market dynamics and long-term industry experience.
  • Ability to communicate with confidence into C-Level and Top Management contacts.
  • Good understanding of embedded electronic system solutions and ability to engage with Research and Development teams.
  • Ability to create market-specific analysis and map these with Microchip solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in a business and/or engineering discipline with a strong academic track record.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the automotive industry.
  • Business fluent language skills in German and English.
  • Relevant automotive market knowledge and industry experience.
