One of the primary objectives of the Risk division is to ensure comprehensive protection for Deutsche Bank against various risks. With a group-wide responsibility for managing and controlling credit, market, operational, and reputational risks, the Risk division possesses a unique perspective that provides a comprehensive view of the bank's operations and clientele. Approximately 4,000 employees collaborate to fulfill Deutsche Bank's ambition of being a leader in risk management.
The Global Credit Analytics Function (GCAF) within the Credit Risk Management (CRM) of Deutsche Bank operates from multiple global hubs, focusing on the assessment and rating of the top clients of the Corporate and Investment Bank. The Düsseldorf hub specifically caters to clients requiring language skills beyond English.
Your Responsibilities
As a Lead Credit Risk Analyst, you will manage the complete rating and credit oversight of a designated client portfolio, covering a variety of business models in accordance with GCAF standards. You will hold full accountability for the associated credit risks, including managing limits, excesses, data accuracy, and credit quality, while providing appropriate credit recommendations. In this role, you will be part of a learning-oriented environment, ensuring that your financial analyses, market data, peer comparisons, cash flow models, and forecasts are delivered timely and meet the highest quality standards. You will approve ratings in accordance with established decision-making processes and exercise credit approval authority as granted by senior management. You will engage in GCAF projects and training programs for junior team members, demonstrating your ability and willingness to share knowledge through training sessions or collaborative learning.Your Skills and Experience
A background in banking or a university degree, ideally supplemented by advanced qualifications (MSc, MA, MBA, etc.), showcasing strong analytical skills with attention to detail, particularly in financial reporting and analysis. Several years of experience in the financial services sector, such as a research specialist or analyst in a bank or rating agency, where you have gained insights into economic conditions, financial markets, and industry trends. Proficiency in English (both written and spoken), along with a strong reading comprehension of at least one additional European or Asian language. An entrepreneurial mindset characterized by integrity, initiative, responsibility, and creativity. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Ideally, you will have experience with Deutsche Bank's relevant IT systems and applications from both user and technical perspectives.What We Offer
