Lead Product Strategist for Consumer Discovery

We are seeking a skilled Senior Product Manager to spearhead the evolution and oversight of our consumer discovery offerings.
This role is essential within our marketplace division, focusing on the product discovery sector. You will be instrumental in shaping the comprehensive product strategy, development, and enhancement of product discovery and the shopping experience across various brands, including foodpanda, foodora, and yemeksepeti. The ideal candidate will possess a profound knowledge of e-commerce, outstanding analytical capabilities, and a user-focused mindset in product development.
Your objective is to consistently enhance how we assist consumers in effortlessly and enjoyably finding and discovering their desired products. Your primary aim is to comprehend user requirements and deliver a seamless discovery experience throughout the ordering process. You will lead initiatives in customer exploration to create an intuitive experience that accelerates and enriches the food selection journey for all users. You will conceptualize, design, plan, and drive the product that provides an exceptional experience to our vast customer base worldwide.
The right candidate will harmonize practicality with innovation and visionary leadership. You will need to generate business value promptly while strategically investing in capabilities that promise substantial long-term benefits. You should be an empathetic listener, adept at recognizing and envisioning opportunities with a diverse array of partners.
Key Responsibilities
Formulate the product strategy, roadmap, and market entry plan for Discovery Products. Establish relevant metrics to assess our effectiveness in achieving each goal and set clear targets for continuous improvement. Create and utilize well-structured decision frameworks to align partner teams and leadership on marketplace expansion. Effectively influence peers and leadership for optimal outcomes. Foster robust feedback mechanisms with peers managing our brand portfolio and partner-facing teams. Address critical dependencies for success and collaborate with peers in Engineering, Analytics, and other Platform teams to establish efficient operational models. Work alongside Engineering to navigate sensible trade-offs between product and architectural investments. Convey strategy, plans, trade-offs, and progress through a consistent rhythm of written and verbal updates to the Consumer Leadership team.Required Qualifications
Essential Skills
Over 5 years of product management experience in an eCommerce or Marketplace environment, with a background in delivering value in an enterprise context where various teams manage different systems being a significant advantage. A strong product intuition demonstrated through sound decision-making based on customer insights, business acumen, and technological understanding. Profound customer insight; a distinctly customer-centric approach to problem-solving. A deep interest in behavioral economics and its application for motivating human behavior. A focus on engaging with customers to gain an intuitive grasp of their thoughts and behaviors. Long-term vision in developing product and execution roadmaps. A data-driven mindset, with a keen eye for numbers, market insights, and a strong appetite for business context and metrics. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and promote product vision, strategic priorities, and market entry plans compellingly. The capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while possessing the assertiveness and influence to unite stakeholders around the right products. Experience working with globally distributed teams and managing communications and product delivery across various time zones. A sense of ownership, readiness to take initiative, accountability to drive projects to completion, along with tenacity and resilience.-
