Key Responsibilities
Formulate the product strategy, roadmap, and market entry plan for Discovery Products Establish relevant metrics to assess our effectiveness in achieving objectives and set clear targets for ongoing improvement Create and utilize comprehensive decision frameworks to align partner teams and leadership on marketplace expansion. Effectively persuade peers and leadership for optimal outcomes Foster robust feedback mechanisms with peers managing our brand portfolio and partner-facing teams Address critical dependencies for success and collaborate with peers in Engineering, Analytics, and other Platform teams to develop effective operational models. Work alongside Engineering to balance product and architectural investments sensibly Articulate strategy, plans, trade-offs, and progress through regular written and verbal updates to the Consumer Leadership teamRequired Qualifications
Essential Skills
Over 5 years of product management experience in an eCommerce or Marketplace environment, with a strong background in delivering value within an enterprise context where various teams manage different systems A keen product intuition demonstrated through sound decision-making grounded in customer, business, and technological insights Strong customer insight; a customer-centric approach to problem-solving A deep interest in behavioral economics and its application for motivating human behavior Commitment to engaging with customers to gain an intuitive grasp of their thoughts and behaviors Long-term strategic thinking in developing product and execution roadmaps Data-driven mindset, with a strong focus on metrics, market insights, and business context Proficient communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and promote product vision, strategy, priorities, and market plans Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while possessing the assertiveness to unite stakeholders around the right products Experience in working with globally distributed teams and managing communications and product delivery across various time zones Ownership mentality, with a proactive approach, accountability for results, and resilience
