Manager of Digital Project Management Office

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently oversee and operationally guide workstreams within the Project Management Office for Digital Technology initiatives, focusing on enhancing digitization across regions and functions, thereby transforming E.ON into a digital-first energy provider.
  • Prepare communications for senior stakeholders, including decision papers and Steering Committees, to steer the direction of our programs through these key decision-makers.
  • Assist in designing and establishing project governance frameworks to facilitate efficient decision-making, reporting, and communication among all stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance metrics (time, budget, scope) from the definition and setup phases through to successful delivery and operational go-live.
  • Proactively identify and report project risks, developing effective countermeasures as necessary.
  • Manage external partners operationally, including both on-shore and off-shore resources, utilizing appropriate frameworks and internal processes, such as vendor ordering and time booking approvals.
  • Engage in the development of our Expert Services practice by participating in various capability-building initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Several years of experience in managing digital technology projects, with a strong foundation in project management and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent consulting abilities, encompassing problem-solving, effective communication, customer orientation, and strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Technical knowledge and functional expertise in at least one of the following areas: Business Transformation, Change Management, Digital Service & Platform Development, Rollout & Industrialization.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (especially MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and Atlassian tools.
  • Experience working in distributed teams and collaborating with external partners.
  • Ideally, familiarity with the energy sector and grid operations.
  • Fluent in both English and German, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
