Manager of Digital Technology Project Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Take charge of managing and operationally steering workstreams within the Project Management Office for Digital Technology initiatives, focusing on enhancing digitization across various regions and functions, thereby positioning E.ON as a leader in digital energy solutions.
  • Prepare communications for senior stakeholders, including decision papers and Steering Committees, to guide the strategic direction of our programs.
  • Assist in designing and establishing project governance frameworks that facilitate effective decision-making, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Oversee project performance metrics (time, budget, scope) from initial definition and setup through to successful delivery and operational launch.
  • Independently track and report on project risks, devising appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Manage external partnerships operationally, including both on-shore and off-shore resources, utilizing established frameworks and internal processes for vendor management and resource allocation.
  • Engage in the development of our Expert Services practice, participating in various capability enhancement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A university degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in managing digital technology projects, with a strong foundation in project management methodologies and agile practices.
  • Exceptional consulting abilities, encompassing problem-solving, effective communication, customer focus, and robust organizational and planning skills.
  • Technical knowledge and functional expertise in areas such as Business Transformation, Change Management, Digital Service & Platform Development, and Rollout & Industrialization.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (particularly MS Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) and Atlassian tools.
  • Experience working in distributed teams and collaborating with external partners.
  • Familiarity with the energy sector and grid operations is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English and German, both spoken and written.
