Position Summary:
The role involves identifying, developing, and executing strategies to engage key accounts that warrant focused Industry Segment Sales efforts. This position is accountable for cultivating business opportunities and partnerships within targeted client organizations across various industry segments, including Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Automotive, Semiconductors, Electronics, Medical, Printing, Process Automation, Mobile Pneumatics, Food & Packaging, and Consumer Products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve and sustain defined sales objectives within the designated Industry Segment, collaborating with the local sales management team and the segment IS Manager.
- Identify and pursue potential clients while nurturing existing relationships to enhance market penetration and sales performance.
- Assess customer needs and deliver solutions through the application of Festo's products and services.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with key personnel in client organizations, developing new Industry Segment accounts while expanding the current customer base to boost market share and sales.
- Engage in trade exhibitions as directed, addressing inquiries from potential and existing clients to increase market presence and sales.
- Participate in special projects and assignments as deemed necessary for the promotion of Festo.
- Provide sales forecasts for assigned accounts to management as required.
- Develop and implement strategies that encourage targeted accounts to become viable partners for their automation and process needs.
- Reinforce the long-term advantages of an OEM/User strategy to all Festo Sales Personnel and Channel Partners.
- Compile and organize all relevant data related to contractual agreements, including pricing, terms, warranties, and service commitments.
- Deliver professional presentations to targeted clients and coordinate participation in selected industry events and conferences.
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Core Competencies:
- Expertise in the process automation sector and its applications.
- Proven success in business development for accounts with extended sales cycles.
- Willingness to travel as required to fulfill job responsibilities.
Preferred Experience and Education:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- Demonstrated success in business development within the process automation industry, particularly in the designated segment.
- Fluency in English.
- Familiarity with SAP and Mosaic is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Festo's complete product offerings and systems is preferred, with specific emphasis on Customer Solutions and relevant products.
- Experience in the specific segment is beneficial.
- Understanding of fluid power, electronics, and electromechanical engineering principles, along with familiarity with the company's product range.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications is essential.
