KYC Process Optimization Manager

Job Overview:

The Know Your Customer (KYC) Operations are crucial in safeguarding the organization against financial misconduct, minimizing the risks associated with onboarding new clients, particularly concerning KYC-related risks, while ensuring that client relationships are established and maintained effectively.

In this role, you will be tasked with establishing strategic business design principles and process improvements necessary for developing a scalable KYC framework that relies on systematic data collection and evaluation of client information. This position offers the opportunity to spearhead the implementation of refined processes aligned with the overarching KYC migration strategy. You will provide support to both Production and Transformation teams, ensuring that business design principles and process modifications meet the defined objectives in accordance with the Target Operating Model design, Technology Architecture, and the organization's standards.

Your Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic, comprehensive design of global KYC workflows, promoting data reuse and automation throughout the process.
  • Facilitate virtual process modeling sessions, responsible for visually depicting current (as-is) and future (to-be) business operations across various units, regions, or globally, utilizing BPMN2.0 and adhering to the organization's modeling standards.
  • Analyze and assess existing processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation using methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Establish migration checkpoints, including dependencies on data strategy, screening rationalization, performance metrics, and requirements for preventative controls.
  • Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders to validate the regulatory and policy landscape, defining implementation options and a roadmap.
  • Conduct impact assessments in partnership with Process Optimization/Management, Product Owners, and Production Steering stakeholders.
  • Deliver data-driven root cause analysis and hypotheses to identify areas requiring enhancement.
Your Qualifications and Expertise
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in Client Lifecycle/KYC.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proactive mindset, capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines without compromising accuracy, while also being able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in leading problem-solving sessions and driving design-focused outcomes.
  • Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills, including the ability to engage with remote stakeholders.
  • Experience with lean processing methodologies such as Six Sigma; strong analytical skills with a focus on detail.
  • Proficient in business process modeling for large, complex processes using enterprise modeling tools.
