Job Title: Solar PV Design Engineer

Are you a skilled Design Engineer looking to contribute to the global transition to renewable energy?

Our client, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Solar PV Design Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge solar power projects in Southern Germany, collaborating with a talented team to design and develop innovative solutions.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed single-line diagrams for HV, MV, and LV systems
  • Design and select configurations for HV, MV, and LV systems based on local and international standards
  • Perform technical analyses, including short-circuit, load flow, and earthing calculations
  • Conduct protection and coordination studies for relay systems
  • Calculate and report on HV, LV, and AC/DC system designs, voltage drop, and power losses
  • Ensure the correct selection of components, cables, transformers, and other equipment
Your Profile:
  • Language skills: English & German knowledge is advantageous
  • Location: Based in South Germany
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within renewable energy
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP)
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards
  • Knowledge of SCADA and communication systems is a plus
  • A team player with excellent organisational skills
