Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Engineer(Solar/Wind) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with company and project environmental, health, and safety policies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of wind and PV projects, ensuring technical feasibility and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage project development engineering activities, including design review, technical oversight, and coordination with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain engineering, design criteria, and applicable standards and specifications for wind and PV projects.
  • Support technical diligence on site selection and project acquisitions, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Direct activities of designers, consultants, and contractors, ensuring efficient use of resources, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Write, edit, and review technical scope of work documents, specifications, procedures, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team and external consultants to deliver energy models, simulations, electrical schematics, and system cost estimates.
  • Manage and conduct cost-cutting and optimization analyses, monitoring emerging technical regulatory requirements for project development and operational activities.
  • Act as global procurement project leader, securing and monitoring corresponding deliverables.
  • Support project management and business development teams to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution to regulatory, permitting, and technical issues associated with the execution and delivery of wind and PV projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Project, or Industrial Engineering, or Engineering Economics.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of a CEE language is a must.
  • Confident and experienced in working in an interdisciplinary engineering field.
  • Profound in working with figures and calculation tools, ability to analyze and illustrate results for decision making.
  • Engineering experience in the wind and/or solar PV project development industry is preferred.
  • Significant relevant experience in the fields of project management, new product introductions, supply chain, procurement engineering.
  • Organized and disciplined, combined with analytical skills.
  • Assertive in achieving deadlines and securing deliverables.
  • Result-oriented and independent style of working.
