Customs Specialist

We are partnering with a leading customs brokerage to fill a Senior Customs Analyst position at Alchemy Global Talent Solutions. This role will facilitate efficient international trade operations through data analysis and compliance.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Employing trade applications and software for the analysis of import and/or export data, generating transactional documentation, crafting KPI reports, and determining FTA qualification applicability.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, brokers, governmental authorities, freight forwarders, carriers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Delivering desk-side training to internal participants and contributing to the development and enhancement of processes.
  • Supporting the Manager in overseeing and managing daily workflows.
  • Adhering to established policies and procedures while responding to inquiries from customers, brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, and customs.
  • Monitoring and complying with changing priorities set by clients, customs, regulatory bodies, and management.

Required Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in customs/logistics, ideally within the automotive industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Developed expertise in at least one of the following areas:
  • Import/export filing, post-entry
  • Customs and foreign trade law
  • Freight and export operations
  • Customs audit support
