Customs Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Customs Compliance Specialist to join our team at Alchemy Global Talent Solutions. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of international trade through detailed customs expertise and data-driven analysis, with a strong focus on customs compliance.
This role is ideal for candidates with a deep knowledge of customs processes, compliance, and the ability to adapt to changing international trade regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage trade applications and software to analyze import and export data, create transactional documentation, and generate detailed KPI reports.
- Ensure the accurate application of customs procedures, including FTA Qualification.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, brokers, customs authorities, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all customs requirements are met and communicated effectively.
- Provide desk-side training and support the development of customs processes, staying updated with changes in customs regulations and trade laws.
- Assist in overseeing daily customs operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and client priorities.
- Respond to inquiries from customers, brokers, and customs authorities while maintaining compliance with changing regulations.
- Stay vigilant on regulatory changes and client-driven priorities, ensuring customs processes remain compliant with evolving global trade standards.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in customs or logistics, ideally within the automotive industry, with a proven understanding of customs laws, regulations, and trade compliance.
- Expertise in customs filing (import/export), post-entry procedures, customs audit support, and compliance with customs and foreign trade law.
- Strong command of MS Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel, with the ability to analyze and report customs data efficiently.
