Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Sono Motors. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the materials and components for our developed Solar Bus Kit (SBK) and other products sourced from our suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for supplier quality management to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct supplier audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure quality requirements are met in supplier agreements and contracts.
- Work closely with suppliers and the procurement team to develop and implement corrective actions and ensure quality requirements are met.
- Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics, and conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving activities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related issues concerning suppliers.
- Provide training and guidance on quality standards and best practices to suppliers and team members.
- Prepare quality reports and documentation for all relevant stakeholders and present them.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supplier quality and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- University degree in a technical field or a technical training with further education in the areas of quality management (QM), product quality, and/or supplier quality.
- At least four (4) years of relevant professional experience in a manufacturing or product development environment.
- Experience in implementing QM standards (DIN ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
- High level of quality awareness and attention to detail.
- Experience in parts and process sampling (PPF/PPAP), advanced product quality planning (MA/APQP), and problem-solving methods (8D, Ishikawa, 5Why).
- Fluency in English and German.
